Los Angeles-based visual artist Alan Pulner uses oil paint on puzzle-shaped wood panels to create complex overlapping fields. The paintings are nearly overloaded with imagery, creating mini-excursions into different ways of seeing. The imagery may be distortions of the familiar or the distorted made familiar.
